Building a lead engine that finds no-website businesses and pre-builds their sites
Overview of the Lead Engine Concept
I've been running a self-hosted AI system, which I call Ollama, for over a year now. It consists of 50 agents, each with a specific role, and is powered by a single RTX 4050 6GB laptop. My system manages over 20 real websites, and I've learned a thing or two about what works and what doesn't. Recently, I've been focusing on building a lead engine that can find businesses without a website and pre-build their sites. In this post, I'll share my approach and the trade-offs I've made along the way.
Identifying No-Website Businesses
The first step in building the lead engine is to identify businesses that don't have a website. I've assigned this task to Scout, one of my agents. Scout uses publicly available databases and APIs to gather information about businesses in a specific area. It then uses this data to determine which businesses don't have a website. This process is not foolproof, and Scout sometimes returns false positives or false negatives. However, it's been able to identify around 200 potential leads per month, which is a good starting point.
Pre-Building Websites
Once Scout has identified a list of no-website businesses, the next step is to pre-build their sites. I've assigned this task to Forge, another one of my agents. Forge uses a template-based approach to build basic websites for each business. It pulls data from publicly available sources, such as Google Maps and social media, to populate the site with relevant information. Forge can build around 10 sites per day, which is a decent throughput considering the complexity of the task.
Content Creation and Optimization
After the site is built, the next step is to create high-quality content and optimize it for search engines. I've assigned this task to Axiom, my content agent. Axiom uses a combination of natural language processing and machine learning algorithms to generate engaging content for each site. It also optimizes the content for relevant keywords and phrases to improve the site's search engine ranking. Axiom can generate around 5 pieces of content per day, which is a good pace considering the quality of the output.
SEO and Deployment
Once the site is built and the content is created, the next step is to deploy it and optimize it for search engines. I've assigned this task to Sentinel, my SEO agent. Sentinel uses a range of techniques, including keyword research and link building, to improve the site's search engine ranking. It also deploys the site to a hosting platform and configures analytics and tracking tools to monitor the site's performance. Sentinel can deploy around 5 sites per day, which is a good pace considering the complexity of the task.
Trade-Offs and Challenges

If I want to deploy more sites per day, I have to compromise on the quality of the site, which can impact its performance and reputation.
